Definitely a highlight during our stay in Vietnam! We loved being remote and in such a calm place surrounded by a beautiful landscape. We did some hiking and smaller walks in the area. The staff was very helpful and the owner did everything to support us from arrival to departure. Fresh meals were cooked for us whenever we needed them. Make sure to bring enough cash:) Since the place is very remote, we got support to come to the place, we took a sleeper bus from Hanoi, then a local bus, taxi and the last part we had to walk. It was a little adventure and we liked it. Everything was perfectly organized by the owner and the communication was very good and helpful. There is a small village nearby where we could buy some snacks and water but drinks can also be purchased in the home.

We were visited in April, sometimes it was a little chilly and we were not quite prepared. The blanked was pretty warm though so not a mistake of the location but something to know before you come here.

The homestay is nestled among steep mountains and rice terraces. A very nice place to hike or just chill out in a hammock. The staff were friendly, the bathroom was very clean and the shower was great too. If you are driving there yourself, you should be aware that the homestay is located a fair way down a very steep and narrow path which is quite slippery when wet. Our Honda XR150 only just about made it back up the hill with only one of us on the bike.

The family dinner was not as good as the family dinners we have become accustomed to in Vietnam. The portion for two appeared to be the same as the portion for one, so we were left feeling a little hungry and a little disappointed.

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, immerse yourself in village living (and food) and fit enough to get up and down steep steps and ride a motorbike, this is the place for you. The scenery is beyond breathtaking and you will hardly see another tourist. The host Le, is super helpful via phone but it’s only on arrival you realise he’s not there and no one speaks English so you need to rely on a translate app. Li organised the most fabulous day trip on the back of motorbikes around the padi field terraced mountains and local villagers who welcome you warmly and we didn’t see another tourist. The roads are as hairy as the Hi Giang loop but without the congestion. A much better experience in my view. We stayed in the glass golf ball room which gives a whole new meaning to room with a view! The room was basic but clean and bed comfortable. The windows could do with a clean!

The owner needs to make it clearer in the description how seriously remote this place is, and that you need to drive here in daylight. It takes time finding and also not mentioned is the 400 m walk down a single track to the Homestay after the car finally got as far as it could go. You eat the local family food so no ‘restaurant’ as such or options.

Beautiful and peaceful location, friendly people, and good dinner. I stayed in the private room which is below the dorm room. It was quiet (but there was only one dorm guest). The landscape is very scenic. The place is remote and slightly challenging to find, but they provide decent directions. The driveway is steep and narrow if you are coming by motorbike, and you’d have to walk down if arriving by car. (Or get picked up). My only suggestion is that they update the room description…it was listed as a private room with private bathroom on Booking.com but the bathroom was separate and had to step outside to get to it. If I knew that, I would have just stayed in the dorm.

This is a unique place. It's off the tourist route, which really appealed to us. It's really worth being in contact with Lee (the owner) as he is incredibly helpful and will find a transport solution to the property to match your budget and ensure you arrive safely. From the moment you walk down to the property, you get a feeling of being in a special place. The valley is both beautiful, with views at every turn, but also gives you a feeling of entering a place where time moves at a different pace. No crowds, walking paths, villages, mountains and waterfalls to yourself. No instangram people in your way😂 Service and food brilliant. This is a place to walk and absorb the wonder of nature and people. We saw other places to stay but they were more like Hotels. none had the vibe you get here. We travel a lot and this is worth making the effort to experience. If you want to walk I would say it's worth getting a guide for atleast your first walk so you get your bearings. Give it a try. You won't regret it.
