Motel 6 Omaha - Central

Accessibilty is top-notch. Downtown/Old Market was 15 mins away, so was the area around West Dodge/NW Omaha. The motel itself is just beside I-80, and though they didn't offer breakfast, there's a nearby Mcdonald's, a Hy-Vee with a Starbucks in it, two dollar stores, a gas station, and some restaurants. The room was furnished to resemble the more higher-end hotels. Wood flooring with a good finish, updated decor, etc. They were a stark contrast to the old/dilapidated interiors outside the rooms, and it made for a comfy stay. I was pleasantly surprised, all in all, especially with the reviews I saw on this app and on Google.

This Motel 6 seemed sketchy when I came in. Someone had left a bag on the corridor, a couple people were yelling/shouting, and the people loitering around seemed sus. At first I felt concern for my safety, as well as my belongings, but these feelings changed as I decided to stay longer and no one caused any trouble/disturbance. Goes to show that initial impressions/biases may just be that. What I didn't like though, was the craftsmanship that went into the room. My bathroom door didn't close (it couldn't fit into the doorway). My bed creaked. The walls were so thin that I could hear the guest next door coughing or playing their music. The window's outer layes was completely gone/replaced with plastic (though idk if that was because of the storms that had hit Omaha a week before my stay).

All nice people here. Probably needs a new face lift but, the staff and maids were very accommodating. Dennys in the parking lot. Close to McDonalds, CVS, Jimmy Johns, Husker Hounds, Ace Hardware & the Good Will Computer store.

Lots of shady characters lurking around on a Saturday night. Sunday morning, it continued with a man and woman in a shouting match. As the woman drove off, the guy hit her car with a big rock and then proceeded to chase the car down the street as she drove away. When she got to the red light, the shouting match resumed.
