Hôtel restaurant les Templiers

The hotel is very conveniently located for train travellers, and only a short walk to the town. The breakfast was well resented and reasonable value.

There is a limited range of accommodations available in Montbard, and this one was selected on the basis of its convenience to the station. The rooms are old and tired, accessed by a tight spiral stair. Facilities are very basic, but were clean. The reception staff were ‘less than engaging’.

medium difficult communication as an English person with very little French.

The lady that provide the breakfast was very pleasant.

The lady that “greeted” and took my money was not. It was cold outside and not much warmer in the room.

On arrival, a staff member was very helpful with everything we needed.

One of our rooms had a bad odour in the bathroom. Given that we requested rooms close together, maybe a room was supplied which otherwise may have not been.

Good location close to canal and right next to railway station. Comfortable room and good value for money.
