Services and food were good, but the reception service was not nice at all

I always stop at this place on may way from Switzerland to Hungary and back. I know what to expect. And I always get it. The service at the reception and in the restaurant is excellent. The choice of food is very good. Only the room prices are getting very high. Nearly 150.00 EUR for a double room (single usage) with breakfast. And I am noticing it NOT FOR THE FIRST TIME that (maybe because I have "Genius Level" with booking.com) I am getting a room "downgrade". I.e. room facing an enormous parking lot with trucks running their engines all day and families arriving in the middle of the night by cars and minibuses and making the night to day (being noisy). There is no air conditioning in the rooms so keeping the windows closed in summer is a pain.

Easy when traveling on the highway. Roomkeys could be collected from a box, so no need to stress if you arrive before the front door closes.

There was a strange smell in our room.

I am a frequent traveller on this route and always stay at one of the LandZeit hotels. I am happy with the facilites, the service and the quality (choice) of the meals. Will surely return next time. To this or another of their hotels.

The bedside lamp did not work.

I booked the hotel via booking.com and reached hotel at 11:10 PM. Tried checking in by their machine. it didn’t work. It was a big hassle and had to find a different hotel. Not trust worthy.
