Chateau Eniseli

The Eniseli Chateau is one of the oldest wine places in the country and it has an amazing history, which the welcoming guy told us while visiting the cellar and the premises. It is really a great place to stay, the dinner we had was great (traditional Georgian cuisine) and we had the luck of being invited to the table of the owner too afterwards who offered us the house wines and showed us the legendary Georgian hospitality and friendliness. The room, bathroom, breakfast etc. were all great, it's really a nice place to stay for a couple of nights or more while visiting the Kakheti area. Also chilling on the hammocks in the front garden was great. Lovely place, totally recommended!

This was by far our best stay during our 2 week trip in Georgia, and that says something! This place breathes history and authenticity (unlike many other touristic places that are mushrooming in the kacheti region at the moment). The wine they have been producing there since 19th century is one of the best we have tasted in Georgia, the food that they cooked for us was exquisite, and the room and garden very comfortable. Don’t miss out on this one!

Wonderful and calm chateau in the middle of the Kakheti wine region. The proprietor did a wonderful job at showing us the winery and malinthe winr tasting. Also dinner and breakfast were excellent.
