Cosy, clean and comfortable with beautiful views. Customer service at The Royal Oak is exceptional. Dog friendly too.

Great check in and wonderful customer service, they are very friendly and responsive and even posted something I left back to me. Convenient and comfy room.

Great place for a little cal stopover. We were there when the pub was closed but the room was clean, comfy and suited our need for a one night stopover.

All good. Had a few problems with inserting/removing the key which I'm sure will be sorted.

Very clean and comfortable, great size accommodation and well equipped for humans and dogs.

The location is quite remote, although the pub is next door, and we had everything we needed.

The pub staff was nice and the host was accommodating, leaving an iron and ironing board for us at our request and bringing us an extra big towel.

The bathroom door was broken and could not be open from the inside. They ask guests to keep the door closed whilst showering, and threaten fees if the smoke alarm is set off (due to leaving the door open when showering) but on her first visit in the bathroom, my friend got stuck in the bathroom, which, like I said doesn’t open from the inside and I had to jam the door open the door for her. Had she been alone and without a phone, she would have stayed there a while, especially since the bathroom window also didn’t open. We’ve had to let each other out of the bathroom each time one of us was going in. Furthermore, I was appalled by the amount of spiders in the room. Spiders that clearly didn’t get there between the last clean and our arrival. It was clear the spiders had been there a while. I am arachnophobic and have had several panic attacks during my stay, one especially traumatising when I was in the shower. My friend spent our time in the room removing each spider for me whilst I was screaming in panic. That should not have happened, the room should have been cleaned properly and all spiders should have been removed. I understand finding one or 2 spiders as it’s the countryside. But those spiders had been there a while and it was clear the room wasn’t properly cleaned. I shouldn’t have spent my time in the room in as much panic as I was. It was a horrible stay, the standard, for the price, was below par.

Ruime badkamer, ruime kamer, makkelijke check-in met code. Geen personeel gezien.

Great location, spacious, lovely view and beds are very comfortable

Walls were a tad thin so we could hear the guests next door very clearly so if you’re a light sleeper this could be a problem but didn’t effect us very much

There was no air conditioning or fans available despite weather being very very warm. Surely for a hotel hot weather should be accounted for.

Good location, nice pub food, good communication pre-arrival, very dog friendly, good shower.

I chose a small room with two kids and two dogs, if I were staying for more than one night I'd get a bigger room.
