Very expensive with no lamp, no tv, crappy bathroom, no aircon

Loved how cheap it was and customer service excellent .

Didnt like that i had to get a taxi there.

Bed was soft, staffed was friendly.

Requested check-in for 2-3pm was approved but upon arrival we had to wait until 4pm because the room wasn't ready. AC didn't work, balcony was shared between two rooms, floor has lino screwed to the carpet, lino is not cut to fit flush, had multiple pieces used which made the surface not flat & lumpy, we both tripped because of this but luckily we didn't fall or hurt ourselves. Also the hallways are lined with spare equipment/furniture, very cluttered. Bed head (end of bed) was broken & repaired with black tape. I haven't stayed at a country hotel like this before & probably won't again after this. My expectations were a room with a bed, tv, bathroom & mini fridge, we got a room with a bed & some furniture. Just because it is a 100 year old pub doesn't mean they can do dodgy repairs that aren't safe & expect to get a good review.

I particularly enjoyed having only one shower available and that shower didn't have a door. the pigeons having sex in the ceiling all night was also a nice touch.
