A bit of noise from the adjoining room

Beautiful property in a mountain top with a nice view of Levanzo. Spacious and clean room. Facilities such as swimming pool, hammam and jacuzzi. We want to highlight the simpathy of Kamel, who was always smiling and ready to help. Good breakfast. Although the hotel is in only a 10m walk from the village, there is a practical shuttle (again Kamel! <3) if you are not in the mood of climbing the hill.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort. We first discovered the resort last year whilst visiting the island for the day. The location is great, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, though the road is quite steep. The staff were great, however we found that communication wasn’t great and some days there seemed to be only 1 staff member on site. We had asked if we could check in early as we were catching an early ferry and were told that it should be ok. We then, however, waited for 2 hours at the marina bar, as we assumed the staff would be collecting us in their car. We tried emailing and calling the hotel but didn’t receive a response at all, so eventually had to drag our luggage up the hill to the hotel in 34c heat. The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly fits into the gorgeous island surroundings. We loved the planting, it felt like paradise. Our room was large in size and featured a terrace which was perfect for breakfast each morning. The breakfast, delivered to the terrace each morning, was ok but a little lacking. Fresh coffee as opposed to a coffee pod, and some fresh pastries and fruit would have been better. Our favourite thing about the hotel was the pool, which was perfect in the heat! The other guests rarely used the pool so we had it to ourselves most of the time. The outside kitchen area by the pool was great and we loved the honesty bar. Perfect for a few beers or glasses of wine around the pool in an evening! The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, and we knew that, but as there’s only one shop on the island it would be great to be able to purchase snacks too. We used the spa a couple of times and enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi. We also rented two e-bikes to allow us to explore more of the island. These cost 8EUR each per hour, which is a little high, but 3 hours was ample time to explore the island. We were unable to use the outside jacuzzi as it seemed to be broken, and didn’t use the gym as it seemed to be closed.

The hotel calls itself an eco resort, however we feel there’s a lot more that can be done. For instance we received plastic pots of yoghurt with breakfast each day. The use of all single use plastics should be eliminated from the hotel. There was a small vegetable garden at the hotel, it would be great to see this expended and the produce used in the breakfasts. Aside from a notice in regards to keeping bath towels hung up if they didn’t need to be replaced we struggle to see what else was eco friendly.

Stunning location that can’t be beat views are incredible and private access to the temples.
