The Vintage Srinagar at Dal Lake

I was a bit apprehensive when I booked room at this property, although I had gone through mostly very good reviews online. It was a revelation from the moment we arrived. It is a very new smallish boutique hotel on the boulevard next to Dal Lake. Check-in was seamless with very efficient and customer friendly staff. Good sized rooms, very well appointed. We had chosen Lake facing rooms which gave a fantastic view of the house boats in the lake. Very good choice of toiletries and kit. Super sleep comfort. The Waterfront restaurant on the top floor is an asset, with a superb view of the lake and the snow covered mountains beyond, with outdoor sitting options as well. Probably one of the best places to eat in Srinagar, as we saw many locals coming in. The menu is quite extensive, and the quality and taste of cuisine is simply fabulous. All the staff at the restaurant were so attentive at every table, extremely efficient and service top notch. Serving always with a smile and going that extra mile. A special mention of Manager Ishfan & Pankaj at the restaurant. Needless to say everyone at Vintage went that extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable. This hotel is definitely "the place" if one is seeking to stay somewhere other than the chain hotels. A hotel which has a human side to it.

The staff is friendly , and they ko respond quickly if any technical issues ! Can be assumed as a good budget 3 star hotel !

Breakfast was normal , nothing much to talk about ! The room was old and needs renovation, door lock was not working and had to ask to get fixed which they did ! Water pressure for the flush was low & had to ask to get fixed and was. Done ! There was frequent power disruption in the room ! Internet wifi was slow ! Over all not worth to stay again ! The hotel rooms need renovation and for to be called luxury !

Excellent location. Close to Dal Lake Roof top restaurant was awesome.

Good location on the lake, good for morning walks and restaurants nearby. Comfortable large rooms, with everything that you need. Bathroom was large and clean. The restaurant on the roof was the highlight. Good service, food and views.
