Golden Beach Paradise

The location was stunning, and the ambience really relaxing. Andrew the manager was very friendly and helpful. Brownie and Happy the dogs were lovely 😍

We actually choose this property because it advertises rooms with sea views and we paid more for this to have the perfect ending to our trip. Confusingly there are no rooms with sea views at this property, so this was a big initial disappointment but it was too late to cancel / get a refund and find a place that did actually have rooms with a sea view.

My stay here was very enjoyable. The rooms are very clean and private. I like Sri Lanka very much, and I got to experience quite a lot of the southern side by staying at this hotel. The city is located half an hour away by tuktuk and there’s a lot of trips you can schedule ahead with the manager of the hotel so your taxi is ready. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I have really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Mostly due to the authentic cuisine and a very kind and helpful staff. The surroundings of the hotel is quiet and you can watch a beautiful sunset from the beach, or from inside the pool.

I return for second time and everything was great as a first time! I will come here again.

Location, location, location Beach is amazing

Communication with hotel (no answer before we arrived on site) Poor value for money and very poor service from management despite very nice local staff

- Location (remote wild amazing beach) - Palm trees in the property and sunbeds on the beach - Local staff very friendly - Nice dogs wondering around the property

- Way overpriced for what the place has to offer and standing / service proposed - Unfriendly manager who did not make us feel welcome to say the least. For the first and only time of our 2-week stay we did feel like walking $. - Swimming pool ripped off, we both got our feet and hands cut - Food (also overpriced) not at Sri Lankan standards. We went outside for dinner plans.

The accommodation and location on the beach looks very nice, nice garden and birds.

The atmosphere was very strange, the owner was there and she was not welcoming at all. We've traveled a lot around the globe and I've never experienced this before.. It even made us leave a day early because it was so uncomfortable. She has a little bell that she rings to call for her Sri Lankan staff (who are friendly by the way). Bells are for animals, not for people. Her family/friends were there also and it felt like we were intruding there. The place is also very secluded (which can be very nice of course if you feel welcome at the accommodation) and the sea is too dangerous to swim in.

The quiet location, very nice matress and pillow to sleep on.
