Hotel Varanasi Heritage

The staff was great, the rooms were really nice and comfy. The mattress was great too. Also, the breakfast included only have one option each day, but for us was enough. So, good too!

What we did not like about the property was the WIFI. It almost never worked. Also, the hot water was all or nothing. You had really hot water or cold water for the shower.

The location to the river and the ghats is excellent and being down a quiet side street makes the evenings quieter than the main thoroughfares. Some of the staff were very helpful and willing to assist with special requests but others were dour and monosyllablic.

The Booking.com website shows "standard" rooms with curtains which leads one to suppose that there are windows and a view. This is NOT true! The rooms have no windows. Only superior rooms have windows. The airconditioning functions only at one temprature and is not very cool. The room was never made up during our stay and dirty plates were left in the room even though the staff come into the room whilst we were out to turn off the airconditioning. Breakfast was a few rotis, some bananas and a curry dish. We had to request eggs and yoghurt and honey which did arrive but the service was indifferent.

Clean and good location. Normal hotel, like in western countries. Just all ok.

Room comfort & cleanliness

Overpriced hotel & does not even providing a drinking water for free after first day of stay. ToothBrush was not available in toiletries & when asked from them, they charge money for it. Most important thing we ordered pizza & chilli paneer in dinner & it tasted pathetic their chefs are not at all professional or we can say they just don't know how to cook. Even the whole freakin hotel does not know how to manage their guests, at any possible time they just start making unnecessary phone calls to their guests. And for every damn small possible things they were just trying to make money but no value provide to their guests.

Breakfast is okay .. but you will get more cheaper

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Made my stay absolutely comfortable.
