Attico spazioso e ben rifinito. dotato di tutti i comfort

La stanza era molto spaziosa, doccia comoda. Colazione con cornetti appena fatti. Ristorante della locanda molto buono.

Il materasso era troppo duro e la camera aveva uno strano odore (ma leggero, niente di veramente disturbante)

The room was nice and equipped for what I needed. Good enough space to relax, wardrobe, desk and big bathroom. Location is lovely, and the staff were very helpful with check-in/check-out. I dined at the restaurant downstairs for dinner, they were very help and patient with my lack of Italian, it was an amazing dinner, especially the steak which they specialize in. I would go back again easily.

No wifi (advertised as having wifi). No breakfast (advertised as having breakfast). Could hear everything in the room above. Unresponsive to communication.

Locanda Dal Sor Francesco, Vetralla, is primarily a big restaurant with rooms as a side gig. We pulled into a parking space that may have been a neighbor’s property. There is really no parking near the restaurant. We asked the young man who appeared to work at this business, he replied that our parking spot was”perfect”. He provided us with key to the building and one for our room, without much information about the establishment. We selected this place in advance, to stay, after exploring the Villa Lante in Bagnaia that day. Once in our room we looked for someone to provide an extra luggage rack. A young lady obliged, but seemed to be an employee of the restaurant and not experienced with the rooms. We did not have dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was sweet- no savory-but coffee to order. I must say, the restaurant makes its own pasta, as we saw it rolled out and drying on the dining room tables the following morning! That morning we were on our way to return our rental car and head to our hotel in Rome.

We were really looking forward to eating at the restaurant but it was closed on the Sunday we were there. We picked this as a rest stop on the via Francigena, it's in a place called cura di Vetralla more than Vetralla so it's a 20-30 minute detour of the via and another 3-4km beyond Vetralla if you are following the regularly suggested path this might make a long day.

I last stayed here 5 years ago and returned primarily for the food. Unfortunately the restaurant has expanded beyond recognition ( 120 covers now ) and I fear they are victims of their own success. Our dinner experience was very disappointing , but the way that the problem was handled most disappointing of all. Sad. I won't be going back.
