Skelwith Bridge Hotel

We spent a 4 night stay at Skelwith Bridge Hotel. Location was excellent. Food and staff were good. Room were what we would expect for the cost of our stay. Bed very comfortable, slept well. HisenseTV worked well with all channels HD quality. Room heated up quickly when turning on radiator

Only bleat would be the pressure on the electric shower which was very low but, In British fashion, we just got on with it.

The location and the staff was amazing. The food was one of the best I’ve tasted in years.

Unfortunately the deco, bedroom and bathrooms are out of date and a little shabby. Still having a key to lock and unlock the door was definitely different. Soundproofing could be better. There does need to be more clearer signs put up especially for customers with Pets. This needs to be given to customers when checking in. So you don’t get told by staff not to bring their fur babies into the restaurant for breakfast. Plus if a customer sits down for food, it’s more polite and customer friendly to dress the table for the customer instead of telling them to move to another table. Just good manners. For the price of the rooms I would expected more quality. Water pressure in the bathrooms were poor. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING JUST NEEDS TO BE AT THE TABLES QUICKER.

A warm welcome and very informative on the facilities of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, prompt service as I was out walking early.

There was low water pressure and couldn’t have a shower on my arrival.

The hotel needs some attention inside and out. The gardens have been neglected and need some TLC The inside in places is tired and also needs attention for example the skirting board was badly scuffed, furniture was chipped and wallpaper was coming off in top corner in our bedroom. At breakfast the hotel had run out of marmalade and jam, resulting in one resident buying his own , as the issue hadnt been resolved.
