Hotel 4 Stagioni Sensus Spa

Hotel is well located in centre of Bardolino. As a solo traveller I felt very safe and welcomed. Single room is very small but comfortable and with all the facilities needed and with a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. Breakfast selection excellent and staff very friendly.

The breakfast and the staff at breakfast were great.

- The shower drain in my room was blocked so it overflowed and left a smell of sewage. I told reception, and the lady pulled a face, shrugged and said 'I'll have to check'. The next day when I asked about it, she said 'the cleaner will look soon'. Not one word of apology. The cleaners and general cleanliness in the room were fine - it was a facilities issue (and based on this interaction, a front of house service issue) - For the money, I would have expected the bathroom not to look (and smell) so old and worn. The shower itself was broken and spurted water everywhere - You have to pay to use the Spa facilities. This is very misleading in how the hotel is advertised - Often there was no one at reception with no bell or way to reach them, meaning we had to wait nearly half an hour to complain about the shower / and another time to book a taxi - Most of the reception staff were lovely, but one woman was very rude and dismissive (see above). Again for the price of the hotel, this type of service is well below par
