Centennial Hotel

The glory of this family-run hotel is its restaurant. At the end of May, we were in an unusual heatwave. This can be a nightmare for a small hotel kitchen. Not this one! The food was wonderful. The fish was fresh, the fruit and vegetables were fresh. The chicken pasta sauce was unusually interesting and good. The menu was varied and creative. The portions were generous. The hotel was quiet at night, and the staff were attentive and thoughtful. Over the years, I have stayed in most of the Cambridge hotels. This is the one to which I shall return when my work takes me back there.

Very good breakfast. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Very near the station and the Botanical Gardens. Nice area.

Aware of noise from outside as it’s on a main road and currently opposite a large building development.

A bit of traffic noise.

Location was brilliant, just short walk to the center of town, The full English breakfast was very good, with a choice of cereals. Our room was very comfortable, with a nice shower, and was very quite at night.

No Granola at breakfast, otherwise very good.
