Stunning venue, incredible food, amazing staff & impeccable attention to detail, highly recommend. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

I was so excited to take my partner here as I had been here before and had an amazing dinner. This time, however we were a wee bit disappointed. I had made these reservations months ago and was quite bothered by the fact that we were in a smaller room rather than the gorgeous larger room below. While the service was good, the food was really disappointing. His halibut was overcooked and my duck was somewhat chewy. Just sad that it wasn’t as good as I remembered it.

I still can taste the phenomenal beef dish I had and remember the great ambiance and servers. I loved this restaurant as part of my trip to Scotland. It is a class act.

The atmosphere is genuinely pleasant, and both the food and staff are presented with care and professionalism. However, charging £14 for two bottles of still water (tape water) is simply unreasonable. While the overall experience was enjoyable, such excessive pricing for something so basic leaves a sour note and detracts from an otherwise well-executed service. Plus donated £1 without consent...

We prebooked a few months in advance, and we chose the light lunch set menu after a big morning visiting the castle.All the dishes were presented beautifully, and the staff were attentive.The decor is different,the original restaurant doesn't have alot of tables hence why they book out so quickly,but the second restaurant at the back which is garden themed also looked pretty.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Witchery - The Inner Sanctum Room. Starting with the winding stone stairwell leading to our magically decorated room, followed by breakfast in our room, and dinner in the garden dining area - we were totally bewitched. The staff were extremely professional, gracious, and attentive. When the Edinburgh crowds got overwhelming, it was so easy to go back to the peace of the Inner Sanctum - great location! Should we be fortunate enough to return to Edinburgh, we will definitely treat ourselves to some more magic at The Witchery. Highly recommend.

Third trip to the Witchery and it did NOT disappoint. Staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend a visit.

The hotel is magical and the staff is amazing! We spend a long weekend at the Witchery and stayed in the Guardroom. It felt like we were staying in a historically accurate medival castle story set. The decor was very well thought out but the room had many modern amenities! The bedroom had A/C and the bathroom had heated floors. We also had dinner at the restaurant for my husband's birthday. The staff was lovely and meal was delicious. We had a beautiful table in the Garden Room by the windows. Finally I found some unique gifts for my family in the new Witchery Shop. My favorite purchase was the Plague Soap! It's not really plague soap but when you see if you'll know! The retail staff and I had a good laugh about that one! Thank you Witchery, we couldn't have ask for a better holiday!

What a wonderful stay! The Sempill suite is stunning - so comfortable and beautifully decorated. I had the most restful sleep, a relaxing bath, and a divine dinner. The location is perfection and close to everything! Thank you for such a memorable experience. I can't wait to return!
