They made us feel like family (in a good way). So helpful and friendly. They even unexpectedly upgraded our room to the family room (additional bedroom). The extra space was very helpful in getting ready for our trekking adventure! As we're staying here after the trek, they welcome us to leave any luggage/items behind that we didn't want to take trekking.

My experience at hotel Family Ties was nothing short of perfect... The owner Narayan was extremely helpful with everything, and even took great care of me when I fell sick. Narayan helped me with booking a last minute night bus to Lumbini the day of, as well as planing an entire itinerary for my trip to Pokhara (which ended up being the best experience I have EVER had!). After a long day of touring around Kathmandu, you'll be back at Family Ties and met with smiles, a comfortable bed, amazing WiFi, hot water, and easy-to-access food/dining. From the staff, food, smiles, cleanliness, comfort, and overall experience, your stay will not be one you'll regret. Book your stay at Family Ties!

A very nice family managed, super clean and well managed small hotel, which gives you the comfort like being at home, caring about everything. They can manage your whole trip in Nepal if you want. I really enjoyed my time there.

10 out of 10 on all metrics. Western standard: good location, quiet, clean, hot shower anytime, good mattress, great hotel personnel, great meals...

I didnt like the city, but the hotel was great. Nothing negative about the hotel. It is IMHO 3 star western hotel standard.

"Worth the money"

It's comfortable, the location is good that it's just about 5 mins walk from Thamel. The room is spacious with hot water. Breakfast is also nice.

Stayed here again at the end of my trip. Helpful staff, western standard rooms and best hot shower in Nepal. Close to tourist bus stand (5 min) and therefore very convenient for the early morning busses. Close to Thamel as well.
