Bathroom facilities 40+ years old Severe gap in front door: as you can see on the photo attached, when fully closing the front sliding door, there was a 2cm gap along the frame. When addressing this to the receptionist upon checkout, they wrote it down for their facilities team to fix it, however they also found multiple excuses for this: this is a very old place and so many things need to get fixed, the place just got bought by new owners etc. I understand all of this, but a 2cm gap along the main door must get addressed with highest priority as you don’t want spiders in your room each day. Breakfast: we stayed at the hotel at the end of wet season so not many tourists were around at that time. It seems like the breakfast team put out the same fruit basket each day, including cut oranges and watermelons. Below the cut oranges I found 2 dead flies, and the watermelons were mouldy (see photos).

It was comfortable, great location, secure, staff were exceptional and flexible.

Hot water was inconsistent and shower pressure low. Shower head is really old and looks unappealing. Shower curtains didn’t stop water from shower wetting the floor (sorry). Rats were heard running behind the wall above our heads early in the morning.
