Great location and good valve for money.

Missing some of the basics that could push the score - no hooks or hangars in either the room or bathroom. AC suddenly makes a loud rattling noise

Property right in the middle of Lone Pine. Walkable to restaurants, shops, market, coffee. Comfy beds. Clean. Views of Mt. Whitney.

There were some maintenance issues. Bench to sit on and look at Mt. Whitney upstairs was broken and failing. Nails poking out of railing. Did mention to front desk.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The provided room was clean and comfortable, and had all necessary facilities. It is located on the main road through Long Pine, so everything (restaurants, stores, and gas stations) is closeby, and the place is also safe

I cannot think of any real downsides
