Land's End Villa

Breakfast was average. There is no concept of vegetarian breakfast at these places. That needs to be noted.

The politeness of the staff by and large. They have one manager and one staff only. Each outdoes the other in terms of rudeness and speaking curtly, non politely and in an arrogant manner. The manager probably as an anti Asian / Indian bias - refused to greet us, acknowledge us and would just walk by us even when we were leaving from the property. The most shocking thing is they shut you out of the main property and reception with a lock n key from 10pm to 7am. Which means no access to any view, sunrise or anything in the morning. When called n asked, the manager rudely cuts the call saying it is what it is. I wish the owners cared a Lil more about hiring managers with a little humility. They are managers not owners and they are in the hospitality business.

Great location, clean rooms and excellent staff.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa and one of our friend stayed in the room above. The above rooms have a good sea view and stands on a cliff with pool nearby. The above area is excellent to hang out and have a nice view while enjoying in the pool. Breakfast is served in the same area. 3 bedroom villa is good for families if the group is large, there is a kitchen as well for some snacks to be made. The hotel area is filled with trees and can see peacock walking around as well.

Breakfast spread could be better, it was only continental breakfast on all the days and no local cuisines were served. Though the breakfast quantity was not limited, better to have some variety as well. The caretaker's way of talking is not jovial all the time but nothing to be bothered about.

This was the best placed we stayed in Sri Lanka. During our trip we were always misguided by the photos of the hotels at booking.com but this place was the only one which really reflected the reality! Location is great, rooms and the pool is very clean!! It has amazing views, the breakfast is great. We also ate dinners there the price was good and it was one of the best food we ate in Sri Lanka!! The manager and the majn guy who works there are amazing, very helpful. This is a place, I want to come back again!!

As a Sri Lankan myself, I had a complete experience at Land's End Villa. Starting from the room, it was cozy and well-facilitated, with a clean washroom and comfortable bedding. We stayed here on a Bed and Breakfast package, which exceeded our expectations. The view from the deck overlooking the Rocky Shore and the Sea paired together with the splendid BreakFast provided by the staff was nothing short of pure satisfaction. As Sri Lankans, we were provided with an option to customize our BreakFast in local cuisine and we chose that. (Western Breakfast options are available as well) One of the best meals of String Hoppers, Dahl Curry and Pol Sambol I have ever had. Apart from that also included in BreakFast were Tea/Coffee, Fruits (Pineapple, Papaw, Watermelon and Bananas ) with a Papaw/Banana juice to top it off. The staff was attentive and provided us with a splendid service. They even managed our transport back to the town of Unawatuna at check-out. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I will recommend it to anyone Sri Lankan or foreign.

Lands End Villa is a fantastic seaside villa that has incredible views with a secluded feel, while still being well located within walking distance to the Unawatuna Main Street. The room was very spacious with an additional bed, and opened out to a large deck with amazing views out to the ocean. The pool was a lovely place to relax, also with a great view, as was the seating areas. The staff were very helpful and attentive, and breakfast was fantastic. We wish we had stayed longer!

1. Excellent location, perfectly situated between Jungle Beach and the tourist center – ideal for exploring the area. 2. The villa is filled with a variety of plants, flowers, and animals. One morning, a peacock even came to our door (mindblowing). 3. The terrace is amazing, with sunbeds that are perfect for relaxing in the evening while enjoying the ocean view and sunset. 4. Delicious breakfast – not a buffet, but quite filling. The fruits and buttered toasts were particularly tasty. 5. The place is very quiet – perfect for relaxation and unwinding. You live in the jungle with an ocean view, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Neighbors are not disruptive; the place attracts those who value peace and tranquility. 6. Very kind and attentive staff. The villa manager has the best English skills in the whole town (10 of 10). 7. The room is clean and pleasant to stay in. There’s always hot water, and everything in the room works perfectly. 8. We really appreciated having a power hub with Euro sockets in the room – very convenient for charging devices. 9. The bed is extremely comfortable. We also liked that the air conditioner is positioned directly opposite the bed, so you can sleep with a pleasant breeze (and sound of ocean).

Everything was perfect. The best place in Unawatuna ❤️
