Los Pioneros

Beautiful grounds and common areas. Good breakfast and comfortable bed. They also have nice cabins, but we stayed in a hotel room.

We got a room that was reeking of gasoline fumes. There was no way to air the room because it had no windows that open, and no exhaust fan. so basically, you’re locked in with the fumes inside. Even the bathroom had no windows or a fan!? The staff had no solutions and said they had no other rooms, and they offered a refund so we can go elsewhere. At 9:30pm at nowhere Chile, right??? After 30 minutes and a lot of pressure on the owner, suddenly, they found a vacant room, with a bigger bed, that was supposedly rented by someone else who was arriving late… so we got that room. It was much better but then we found that cigarette smoke was coming in from the smoking area outside the building. Still, much better than gas fumes, and we just stayed there for the night. In addition, the walls have no sound insulation so we could hear everything that was happening in the rooms around and above us, Not a fun experience and we especially didn’t like how the owner did not take responsibility for the problem THEY created, and tried to make us sleep in an unhealthy environment or go away late at night. Not cool.

We liked everything about Los Pioneros. The woman who managed the hotel was extremely helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic. Our room was large and had an enormous deck with many comfortable chairs. The atmosphere was very cheerful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The fire place with the classic music was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Owner was very kind.

Nothing dramatic, but the room has a strange layout. The shower close doesn't close so water gets out. In addition it is too low for my height.

Nice location, just out of town and immersed in nature. Warm and pleasant environment inside, beautiful garden and spaces outside. Nice breakfast, for all tastes. We found the bed very comfortable. Possibility to book tours directly in the structure. Friendly staff.

In our room we could open only the small window in the bathroom. Since we did not speak Spanish, communication has been quite difficult with the owner (but I guess this is on us!)

Extremely accommodating and helpful. They were very gracious hosts and flexible with changes in travel plans. All measures were taken to ensure we felt comfortable, were well-fed, and able to enjoy a restful evening.
