Hi Chiangmai Hotel

Highly recommend this affordable hotel! For what we paid we can’t complain! The triple room is comfortable, clean and airy. The air con worked really well and the bathroom had a big walk in shower. The pool isn’t huge but enough for what we needed. There is also self laundry service by the lobby which came in really handy!! Don’t expect five star service with all the extras, that isn’t what this hotel is. It’s affordable, comfortable and perfect for exploring Chiang Mai.

I was quite disappointed with the hotel for personal reasons. I thought it would be better located. The breakfast was really not great, and we found it too hot in the room (the air conditioning was stuck at 20 degrees)

Here comes the old "I really wanted to like this place..." There's so much that is good; very comfortable room that really had everything I needed for a work stay of around a week; and there's a very peaceful pool area that is adjacent to the tables in breakfast area. But the noise and disturbed sleep at night...

The walls are thick (so far so good), but the doors are practically paper thin, so if anyone so much as farts outside, you will hear them. And it doesn't help that the acoustics of the hallways cause every little sound to be amplified (not a lot of thought seems to have been put into how the hallways were designed and constructed with regard to sound proofing). The funny thing is, on all the floors with guest rooms, the staff have taped up signs saying "Quiet zone" (perhaps they're aware of the acoustics?). It's written in English. It's written in Mandarin. It's also written in Korean. But weirdly it's not written in Thai, and there were some Thai people that were very noisy during sleeping hours (numerous times, even after I asked for quiet).

Schone kamer, oogt allemaal nieuw. Ook fijn dat je beneden zelf kunt wassen met wasmachines en drogers (kost 50 bath per beurt). Bedden waren top!

Wifi was niet zo goed, het was een open wifi, misschien slim een wachtwoord voor het wifi in te stellen. Ontbijt vonden wij als Europeanen niet uitgebreid, ze hadden alleen wit toast brood en je had weinig om hier op te doen (je kunt wel ei laten maken door hele lieve vrouwelijke medewerkers), er waren geen croissantjes etc ook geen yoghurt. Het was vooral warm eten. We mochten niet eerder dan 14:00 inchecken, dit was wat jammer (want er waren weinig bezoekers dus denken dat er wel kamers vrij waren).
