Ahaura Hotel

The hosts were recovering from Covid and we did not see this property at its best. Sue and Rocky were very hospitable and the meals they provided were tasty and excellent value for money.

The steep staircase to the accommodation wing was a challenge for elderly guests

The owners were so nice & friendly. Their little dog & cat were a nice surprise. The secure parking was awesome. We just enjoyed our stay!

Only little hiccup was the tv wasn't up & running. It would've been nice to be able to lock the room, even though there are cameras throughout.

Great down to earth landlords! Chinese buffet was great 😃

Ahaura Hotel is an old fashioned, quirky but comfortable place to stay. Staff were friendly, accommodating and keen for us to have an enjoyable overnight stop.

I think it should be made clearer that there are shared bathrooms / toilets rather than en-suite facilities.

Old school manners, this is not a new fancy hotel. It’s old and full of character and characters. There are flaws that some people won’t like but if you want good old country hotel/pubs and like the old character buildings you should be happy. Big meals!!!

reminded me of an old style Aussie pub, no airs and graces, owners were great people the food she cooked was good and we sat around bar chatting with owners and locals.
