The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional, Food was excellent though expensive. We had expected a single room, but got two, which was very much appreciated. This is a high class establishment where you pay a good deal, and get one.

We tried to think of something, and the only quibble we could come up with is that there could have been more coat hooks, But this applies to most establishments. What I really don't like is the fatuous commentary accompanying these notes.

Everything went well. Comfort in a baronial building. And the staff were Very accommodating and helpful.

Very expensive, but apparently this is par for the course on the Scillies and upkeep for a place like this costs money.

Wonderful bedroom, Very convenient location. Exceptionally delicious food. Good advice from reception led to very interesting and exciting boat trips to other islands.

We had an exceptionally comfortable bed and realy enjoyed your spacious and well plumbed shower. There were good dispensers and soaps for the shower. However there was no rack or basket on which to put them and my wife couldn't pick them up from the floor because of a bad back. The mat was small so covered only a small part of te shower floor leaving slippery areas exposed. I have a larger one at home! We're 80+. A fall at our age can prive serious damaging hips, with long term consequences. A grab rail and a better mat are absolutely essential to prevent a serious accident.

St Mary’s Hall was an oasis of calm, a perfect blend of old style hospitality and attention and modern facilities minutes from centre of town and beach. Great service, comfortable furnishings.

The food was fantastic - excellent quality! But a bar menu of lighter dishes would be good. We had small lunches to allow space to enjoy dinner!
