Excellent place to stay - the Host is an extremely helpful person - Everything you can dream of while on a tour - is just 2 minutes walking from this place. Moreover, I was worried about my bicycle's security overnight - but the host gave me a very secure place to keep :). For the price I paid - I think it was a very good deal and I enjoyed my stay very much. The host is so trusting - he gave the keys of the entire place to me :) .. very rare to find such trusting people in other parts of the world.

1) Toilet and Kitchen is sharing - but I did not face any problems since I was all alone in the floor and enjoyed exclusivity. 2) English language skills - Does not speak English - but in Daugavpils people understand only Latvian and Russian mostly. But all in all - it was a very comfortable and secure stay - and the value for money was superb - I am not complaining :)

The hotel was brilliantly placed in the centre. The breakfast was in a cafe next to the hotel. It only opened at 1000 but the food was outstanding and better than many many more expensive places. The staff were all family and spoke little English but were truly kind and accommodating. The bar next door had their own beer and the sound of the bar did not carry into the hotel. The balcony ovelooked the town and was worth diamonds. I would go back in a shot.

The sheets were flannel which some may not like. The wifi was terrible. The bathroom was cramped. The trams woke you up in the morning early.

Perfect location!!!Center of Daugavpils!!!

For this money I can't complain!!!
