Wentbridge House Hotel

I like the attention to detail. Consistently high standard. The hotel keeps everything in good condition and nothing looks worn out. Ive been coming here for a while as a special treat and usually get a room upgrade. You feel appreciated and return visits are remembered.

It’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and more. This place is 100% worth it.

I chose Wentbridge to host my 30th Birthday for many different reasons but it’s hands down one of my favourite locations for every possible occasion whether that’s dinner, afternoon tea, an overnight stay or for something even more special. We hosted 28 friends and family members from across the country to mark a milestone birthday by opting for private dining in the Leatham, Chloe was outstanding in everything organisation and was a great help with communication. The food and team on the night were also brilliant, everyone who attended couldn’t have had better comments to make, the environment just finished it off making it a special occasion to remember, we also stayed the night along with a few others in our party and had a wonderful nights sleep and a lovely breakfast. 10/10.

We love Wentbridge and often have Sunday lunch or afternoon tea. We decided to stay and take advantage of the Sunday stay offer. Check In felt a little soulless with the older long haired lady reading to me from a screen and very little smiling or personality. The lady with the red hair was very welcoming, mentioning our anniversary. We booked what was the original wedding suite as we were married at the hotel 21 years ago. The staff were kind enough to recognise this with mini prosecco and a copper mug. Much appreciated and a lovely touch. The service was a little disappointing in the bistro, I’ve experienced this on the last couple of visits along with staff almost forgetting that you’re waiting in the snug. My rib eye steak was more med well done that med rare and a very thin steak- not really the thicker more succulent cut but that you would expect. We should have raised this but that would have spoilt our dinner as my husband’s main course was lovely and as expected. The attention to detail feels as if it’s being forgotten a little which is what makes this place so special.

Beautiful hotel, warm, welcoming and with lovely rooms and delicious food. We stayed for my sister's wedding and the whole day was perfect - the setting was beautiful and the staff could not do enough for us. Breakfast offered a varied menu and was delicious. We are in the restaurant the night before the wedding too and we could not fault the food - a five star experience from beginning to end and a magical memory for the bride and groom and all their guests!

The staff were amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable. A real credit to the hotel. Beautiful grounds as well. The menu for dinner and the drinks menu were amazing. Very high quality and was better than the dinner at the 5-star hotel we had the night before.

The pictures of the room advertised were not representative of the hotel. There is only one renovated room and the rest are much older and don’t have the same fittings- no freestanding bath just a small bath suitable for a small Child. I discussed this with the staff and as soon as I mentioned it they knew exactly which room was being used for the photos. The room rate is very high for an old style hotel and not value for Money. There is no fridge in the room, the windows were locked so couldn’t be opened. The breakfast buffet had no labels and you couldn’t judge what allergens were in any of the food. Customers kept asking what each of the foods were, taking up valuable staff time. This could easily be addressed by proper labeling.
