Hotel Don Robert

The host went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and give us a true Costa Rican experience. Enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you Flory and your family. The location was great with lots of eatery and supermarket nearby. The Puntaranus Cathedral was right across the road and we enjoyed hearing mass and sound of church bell ringing.

Could have had a kettle and cups in the room to make coffee/tea.

Excellent breakfast. Nice staff. Adequate room, very comfortable bed. Not too far off the beaten path. Close to the city center. Free WiFi. Air conditioning.

As so many other cabinas and local accommodations, the building was mildly dilapidated, chipped floor tiles, peeling plaster stucco. Surprisingly expensive for such a humble place.

Shower - no warm water and came as a trickle Bathroom - cramped Bed - double bed for tall person was adequate for a night but would have been uncomfortable for longer No windows

Clean and tidy but no running water due to problems with town supply. Offered free cancellation but as a single night stop accepted the problem and given a discount. Short walk to south shore beach and restaurants.

Parking was difficult in small area and breakfast was taken at a table one metre from the car. Not much English spoken but communication was adequate.

The staff was friendly and the overall ambience was cozy, is a family business and felt like being in a 'mama's' house.. the breakfast was good! Location also, central and close to the beach boulevard.

A bit over runned, facilities could use some improvement... but ok for what you pay, considering the average area prices

Very nice owner and delicious breakfast in the green patio. It's definitely a place for people who do not look for luxury but rather true experience with locals

It is a bit old and rustic, we couldn't turn the hot water in the shower

Nice host family, very personal. Breakfast was great as well.

Value for money, room very basic, no hot shower, area not among the best ones in town
