Vanuit de kamer hadden we direct uitzicht op Mt. Fuji. De kamer zelf is in authentieke Japanse stijl, wat bijdraagt aan de beleving. Twee keer per dag kun je een van de twee onsens voor 40 minuten voor je kamer reserveren, zodat je deze helemaal voor jezelf hebt. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Echt een aanrader!

Voor mensen die niet gewend zijn om op een futon te slapen kan het slapen wat tegenvallen. Een futon is vrij dun, waardoor je op een vrij harde ondergrond ligt. Er is een bed aanwezig, maar om hier met twee personen in te liggen is erg krap. Het bed zelf is daarnaast ook vrij hard. Zelf hebben wij de slaapsituatie opgelost door één persoon in het bed te laten slapen, terwijl de ander op meerdere opgestapelde futons te slapen.

The location of this accommodation prompted our choice. We wanted 2 nights relaxing prior to travelling to Tokyo. This hotel hit the mark. Bed was comfortable. Room had traditional tatami mats and paper divider screens. We had a patio outside which gave us a beautiful view of Mt Fuji, the reason we booked this. Obviously the weather may affect this view. The private Onsen was an absolute boost for us as Hubby has tattoos and could not go into others we were near. We booked 2 slots a day for 40/50 minutes. This allowed us to shower and enjoy the baths. There is no shower in the room, there is a toilet and sink. This was no issue as the hotel is small and there is no problem getting into use the onsen area. Close to all local amenities about 10-15 minutes walk to lake side area with restaurants and shops. We had car hire so cannot comment on local transportation but the bus stop is next to lake.

The onsen’s decor was a bit tired and roof leaked when it rained. I hope they update the maintenance as it would be shame for this to get worse through lack of repair. Did not stop us using the area.

Beautiful views, lovely onsen, spacious room

Not a very welcoming atmosphere, no breakfast, a lot of rules which make the guest feel as if they are inconveniencing the property by being there.

Schöne Aussicht auf den Mt. Fuji! Toller Garten und alles sehr sauber. Lage war sehr zentral und dennoch ruhig.

Timeslots für Dusche/Onsen - bei unserer Ankunft waren viele Zeitslots schon belegt uns daher mussten wir unseren Tag sehr anpassen. Auch die Check-In Zeit war nicht sehr flexibel.
