The room was bright and clean with a marvelous view over the beach and sea. The menu's for Breakfast, Lunch and Diner offer a lot of choises and the quality was great. The location was also great because of the quiet part of the beach-strip with own terrace and beach. And the service in the restaurant was very good. Very friendly staff !

We had the sea view junior suite which overlooks the pool. The views are great and you have direct access to the pool from your room. Room was comfortable. Shingle beach adjacent to property or 5 minute walk to a finer sand beach and more restaurants. Agia Galini is a lovely resort with the old town and port with it's many quaint restaurants separated from the beach by a promenade. Regular visitors to Crete will recognise the small caraffette on the tray in the room as raki as offered in most restaurants on the island after dinner and assume it is a welcome drink. Please be aware that it is washing up liquid !

This being the first year after recent travel restrictions we appreciate that hoteliers have had a tough time of it and we are prepared to cut them a bit of slack as they recover but we have to say that the pool needed cleaning. There was no sink or hotplate. To wash up anything you need to use the bathroom sink.

The moment we stepped onto the property and gazed upon the view from our room, we fell in love with this tiny corner of the world we came to retreat to. Simply amazed by the pool & deck, full selection menu at the on-site taverna, some of the best meals we have ever had in our lives, the comforting large number of return patrons who chose this spot to return to year after year, and the care given to our every need. We slept with our sliding doors open all night without worry, except for the resident cats who were just being cats, checking out the new guests, with complete and total privacy. A healing place on the Libyan Sea. The Family that owns and operates the rental units and the taverna are beyond hospitable, interesting, and fun. They work very hard and are very cool, authentic, warm, and down to earth people. One of the owners also has a Yoga studio in town if you're so inclined. We were impressed through and through. We actually don't want to laud the graciousness of this location too much in order to keep it the best kept secret in Greece... Crete particularly is so special, but we had to share how wonderful and affordable it was to stay there, relative to anywhere with similar amenities and quality. If you wish to chill, relax, be quiet, breathe in fresh sea air, eat exceptionally fresh & delicious Greek food, walk minutes to other tavernas with great food, walk another 5-10 minutes into the village/town center... there's even an ancient-designed newly built, outdoor Greek stadium cut into of the mountain for concerts and live theatre, this is the place for you! You'll be amazed every day you're here. There was live music one night at the Taverna, 2 guys on Bouzouki and guitar. And an on site Artist, Mick, who's a part time resident from England, whose extraordinary art work graces the walls of the units. And there's Micky, the dog. Names are a sweet coincidence.

We happened to book the last unit available, a Junior Suite, they called it. It was all we needed: A beautifully tiled wet room bathroom. No hooks to hang towels because the drying rack is mounted off the veranda. No shower caddy. The website and brochures didn't make it clear to us how the internal space of the units were designed, but we trusted it was all we would need. If you require separate sleeping spaces, the Junior Suite has only one large built-in bed on the main wall, A/C, and a single built-in bed near the slider. All in the same spacious room. A fridge, water boiler, cutlery and dishes, cups and glasses, coffee & sugar packets, ample closet space and a comfy built in bench across from the single bed. No suitcase caddies to raise them from the floor. It was our understanding that a roll-away bed could also be ordered. Overall the space was simple, elegant and rustic. Solidly build with gorgeous wood, beautiful rafters, slate floors. A round table seating four, with cushioned chairs, and 2 chaise lounge beach chairs set on the veranda. Everything you need. There are larger units and apartments which we didn't see.

Breakfast on the beach is a very good start of the day.

Someone was mawing the grass at 07.30 AM. So it was quitte noisy and a little bit early to my taste.

Great location by the beach, super friendly staff, great food, great cocktails, town center at walking distance, quiet, large room with a great view.
