The Surfside Beaumaris

Staff were amazing but the room was old, tired, grubby and the bed was like sleeping on the floor

The beds were confortable. The location and the view were good. 1min walk from the sea. A bit far from the town.

First, we had dinner in the restaurant, the water was clearly not drinkable, and the jugs very dirty, full of dirt and particle floating, yukkk. Even after mentioning it to the staff they were not surprised and said that the bottom of the tanks that they use to fill the jugs is awful. They do not recommend to drink this water but the owner ask them to do so. After our night, we woke up with no electricity meaning no hot water for the shower but more important : no way to boil the water that was not drinkable from the tap!!! Nobody told us anything, neither answer the phone. I even knocked the owner's door : no answer..... There was an ongoing work or construction so they were aware it would happen but did not say a word to the guests.

Location, cleanliness

Very spacious room, has the basics: tv, microwave, kettle which was nice

Looked out onto the main road, not the “garden view” I apparently paid for. Didn’t appreciate the signs everywhere stating I need to clean up and put everything away before I left given that it’s >$100 per night. Also no wifi in the rooms is a big negative

Room was surprisingly nice, very comfortable and great value for money.

Parking is a bit tight but nothing else.
