Happy Wanderer Motel Lake Boga ON THE LAKE WITH LAKE VIEWS

We stayed here for 3 nights over New Year's and got what we paid for. Clean and tidy rooms at a roadside motel with minimal extras. The bed was very comfy, rooms were cool and the pool was nice to cool off in without having to walk across the road for a swim in the lake. Solid 6/10.

The scenery around was very bland and the resort itself felt a bit tired and old. The wifi wasn't fast enough to stream netflix which was a little frustrating. I woke up with some itchy bites on my back, arms and hands which may have been from bedbugs. They could also do with some signage or lights out the front as we drove past several times in the dark.

A shade sale at the pool would be great but I also understand they’re going through Reno’s so could be on the cards anyway

Comfy beds, clean and tidy rough on the outside as still doing it up but very co fortable all you needed for a 1 night stay.

The room had clearly been recently renovated and had a useful small kitchenette, the bedroom space was large and included a lounge. The lighting was good. The lake view room had a fabulous view across the road to the lake. The walking distance to the lake for a cooling swim is very short and convenient. Despite being on the main road it was not noisy at all.

There was no bin anywhere in the room, and no cloth or sponge for doing dishes so it was necessary to leave dirty crockery. The manager blithely told me, upon arrival, that he was heading off and would not be around for the night but would be back the next day. There is no capacity for meals.
