Hotel Goldenes Faß

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Nah am Bahnhof und zur Innenstadt.

Kein Personal vor Ort,wir hatten keinen Türcode. (Danke an das Restaurant im EG) Bad sehr klein, Handtücher muffig und insgesamt in die Jahre gekommen. Sauberkeit mittel, schon länger keine Spinnweben entfernt.

Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, absoluter Renovierungsstau, was nicht schlimm wäre. Leider kommt als großes Manko hinzu, dass es nicht gepflegt und sehr sauber ist. Tapete löste sich an den Nähten und an manchen Stellen an der Wand, so dass sich Beulen bildeten. Spinnenweb an den Decken. Toilette sowie Duschvorhang nicht so sauber wie wünschenswert und die Ablage in der Duschecke nicht richtig befestigt - hing locker herunter. Zimmer zum Hinterhof mit starker Geräuschkulisse.

The location is great and the beds were comfortable.

Almost everything about the hotel was poor. No staffed reception, difficult to find entrance code for door (which is in a dingy alley). When I called the phone number to ask for the code, I got a recorded message without even the option to leave a message. The public areas are horribly dated. We were hoping for kitsch and whimsical, we got tired and unloved. Our rooms were handwritten on a white board on the landing, even the room numbers look like they've been written on with sharpie. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Both rooms were small and extremely shabby. Mismatched furniture, torn net curtains, tiny TVs (one didn't work at all), light bulbs needing replaced, the carpets are like the cheap industrial ones found in offices. One room had a used handkerchief on the carpet under a table. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I've had in a very long time - and we are all very regular travelers. For the money we paid, I actually feel insulted. In the 2 nights we were there, we didn't encounter one member of staff. Absolutely shocking!

Currently the breakfast was not on the schedule, but as I'm a regular guest, they made a special fruhstuck for me, excellent as always.

It located in the heart of the city. Easy to reach if you travel by bus or train, i recommend this hotel!

I liked the location a short walk to the train station and not far from the palace. I also liked the decor and a balcony on the first floor.

Pillow was uncomfortable and the hair dryer wasn’t great, no breakfast available.
