Very nice food excellent variety of meals very nice decorations and cozy rooms

The elevator is a bit slow

Interesting building, centred on a first century Roman home, with lots of original features. Dinner was good, breakfast basic but ok. Could do with a better selection of items. Outdoor space was pleasant but seemed to be out of use

Reception not manned at all making check in and check out unsatisfactory. Rooms looked tired and in need of a major refresh Only 1 pillow available, getting an additional pillow involved finding a member of staff and then raiding an unoccupied room. A bit Laurel & Hardy. Fascinating building that was probably a great place to stay in its heyday - sadly now looking a bit past it. Location is next to a busy dual carriageway, effectively a motorway. Quite noisy and difficult to access without a car.

The dinner exceeded my expectations and the staff really worked at making a good vegetarian experience 🥳👍
