The Junction Hotel

This is a small hotel with only a handful of rooms, located right in the centre of Dorchester. Its convenient location makes it easy to explore the town on foot and provides a good base for visiting attractions in the surrounding area. The inn itself is very welcoming, offering a good selection of beers and a varied menu. The breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed the Full English breakfast on several mornings during our stay.

There are only two free parking spaces available, so it is often necessary to park along the road, where parking is paid. The rooms are a bit dated and could benefit from some maintenance. There were a few minor issues, such as a loose showerhead. Another downside is that the room's window faces the inn's outdoor seating area. As guests often gather there to drink and smoke in the evenings, it can be quite noisy, making it difficult to get an early night's sleep.

Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but good portions and freshly cooked. The location was central to what we needed.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant great location.

Poor furniture no head board for beds. No side table for beds just a plank board. No fan or air conditioner in rooms.windows couldn’t be opened as was too noisy and unsafe as the rooms are too close to main road.

Room was very basic and bland. Some of the furniture was tatty. Edging to the bedside table was peeling off. Some bathroom fittings, ie shelf, were missing. Bed was not very comfortable.

Perfect location, reasonable price, lovely breakfast, nice service.

Little bit of noise (expected- it's a pub after all). Shower was hanging off the wall. Carpets a bit grubby. Bedside shelf was a long way away from bed! Water was extremely hot and cold tap just a trickle. Mentioned to staff to look into.
