"A great budget hotel In extremely convenient location, short walk to shops, hospital & train station."

Spacious well heated room. Unusually friendly staff without exception. Rooms in old stable block adjacent to pub so noise not a problem. Great location - short walk to hospital and main railway stations. Great value for money for a budget hotel room. I am gluten free and ate easily at the pub, they had a 2 a4 menu for gluten free diets, incredible. I had steak and apple crumble which were well cooked and tasty. The gluten free cooked breakfast with refilled cafetière coffee was excellent. For this price bracket would highly recommend.

Minor points, some new sealant needed in places and a new plug for the basin.

"Some good aspects but disappointing esp considering the price paid."

Breakfast was really tasty and efficient staff member. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Parking was available. Excellent location to the restaurants and bars.

Room was disappointing - mould in the bathroom under the sick; soap dispense was on the floor not in a tray. Decor was a bit unfinished and dated.
