"Horrible night in winter in a hotel without heating, without hot water,"

Location was good

Worst hotel night in our entire life until now. Outside was -7 Celsius. Radiators not heating at all, were totally cold, air conditioning was good enough only to heat to around 15 Celsius, in room wasn’t additional cover possibility, bathroom hasn’t any heating system so was below 10 Celsius, it was no hot water at all in bathroom so we couldn’t take any shower. Next morning we had to warm up our shirts and shoes at the poor air conditioning system to be able to wear them. We slept with hats on our had so cold was in the room. Next morning we renounced to take breakfast because the breakfast room was also very cold. Actually in this 4 star hotel didn’t work any powerful heating system. Total disaster. Definitely this hotel doesn’t deserve to exist in Booking.com inventory, it is a totally shame. We left the hotel next morning, dirty and frozen and without serving the breakfast. Shame to this hotel and shame to Booking.com to offer accommodation at this 4 star (???) hotel.

"Modern hotel, net, verzorgd, vriendelijk, met veel faciliteiten, maar op het randje van oude glorie"

Het hotel heeft een mooie naam en heeft alles om een mooi hotel te zijn. Maar het hotel heeft een verfrissingsbeurt nodig. Hier en daar heel kleine dingen die hersteld zijn met goedkopere middelen. Maar anderzijds, wij waren de enigen die in het hotel logeerden. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en een 'gepersonaliseerd' ontbijt gekregen. (Wat mogelijk was omdat we de enigen waren in het hotel). Het hotel ligt aan de oever van de Donau en je hebt een prachtig uitzicht over de Donau heen op de Servische bergen en heuvels, alhoewel er op een zichtbare afstand een waterkrachtcentrale en sluis op de Donau staan. Er is een openluchtzwembad met plonsbad voor kinderen, ligweide met zetels om te zonnebaden. Het hotel was open 'buiten seizoen' en dus hebben we aan zeer goedkope prijs van ons verblijf genoten.

De aankondiging van het adres op Booking.com is dubbelzinnig. Het hotel ligt in een deelgemeente van Drobeta. Misschien bij aankondiging eerst de deelgemeente aanduiden. Dat zal gemakkelijker gevonden worden door de GPS dan de gemeente Drobeta zelf. Want het hotel ligt ongeveer 10 km van Drobeta stad.
