"One Week in Holzminden"

Located 5 minutes (by car) outside the centre the Schleifmuehle is a great place for business travellers. The hotel is a bit aged but well kept. The rooms are tidy and quiet. Free Wifi and parking are offered. I did not sample the breakfast, as I was visiting family, but I heard it is good.

The rooms are a bit crammed. Getting into and out of the shower is tight. There is no elevator and guests have to carry their luggage up a flight of stairs; the staff are offering assistance, so this is a minor point. There is also one room with a stir lift, but I have not inspected it.

Friendly, clean and flexible with cancellation available until 2PM the same day (which I didn't use). Didn't try the breakfast as I only needed an extra bed over Christmas.

Nothing to complain.
