The Railway Hotel

Room was small but very clean and quiet.

Location was very good

Bed linen was not up to standard- possibly had already been used? Pillowcases were dirty. Teaspoon had a hair stuck to it. Cobwebs. Stains on carpet.

They offered a 'continental breakfast' for $15 pp... for cereal and toast? Be for real.

I get that I was going for budget, but in hindsight; I should’ve just slept in my car. The designated smoking area for the pub is directly outside the rooms. When I arrived my window was open so smelled like an ashtray. While the room had the basics and the bed was comfy enough, a lamp wouldn’t go a stray? The only light source being a blaring fluro. That you had to get out of bed to switch off as the other fluro above the next was broken. Having said that, if you’re ok with cigarette smoke, non stop noise and bugger all privacy, then sure, give this a go!

Good location and cheap rate.

The room was very small with no fridge or chair or ability to use a microwave. That being said it was very cheap and you get what you pay for.
