I arrived at 23:15, between the scheduled arrival time of 23:00 and 00:00 (agreed in writing), but there was no-one at reception or any contact instructions to allow me to check-in. I tried repeatedly to call and knocked for 30 mins, no answer. The hotel were insistent clear instructions were left, but after providing photographic evidence they conceded the cleaners must have removed them. They also said it was the second time it has happened. Totally unacceptable. Lucky i wasn't a pensioner, disabled or a single mother with a baby - was i supposed to sleep in the doorway? No management apology from the hotel, reply to my voicemail or compensation (although booking.com were very helpful). Lucky i found the only hotel still available in the vicinity, and further luck finding a taxi to make the 20 min drive there. There was still considerable disruption and inconvenience and the situation could have been much, much worse.

Außergewöhnliches Ambiente im Schlosszimmer mit schönem Blick auf den See / Hafen! Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bodensee-Radweg und wir sind gut erholt und nach einem feinen Frühstück im Nebenhotel bestens gestaärkt weitergeradelt.

Abschliessbarer Fahrradraum, gutes Frühstück im Nachbarhotel, freundliches Personal, schöne Aussicht. Ruhige zentrale Lage
