Akatara Hotel

Hôtel moderne, confortable, piscine agréable. Choix de plusieurs petits déjeuners, bons mais très simples (pas très garnis).

Les gels douches et shampoings ne sentent pas bon, utilisation de gel douche personnel.

The pool was lovely, the staff were polite and the room itself was acceptable.

My wife and I stayed at Akatara and arrived on 28/05/2026. Unfortunately, our experience deteriorated significantly the following morning at breakfast. On 29/05/2026, I found white and green particles floating in the ice in my drink. Given the well-known concerns surrounding contaminated ice and food-borne illness in Bali, I did not feel comfortable consuming it. In addition, our napkins wrapped around the cutlery had visible brown stains, raising further concerns about hygiene standards. My wife's scrambled eggs were also served sitting in a pool of water, which was unappetising. To add to our disappointment, the coffee I ordered filled less than a quarter of the cup. These issues left us with very little confidence in the hotel's food and beverage operation. We chose to leave the hotel for breakfast elsewhere. Upon returning later that morning, we were forced to check out immediately due to an unforeseen emergency, despite our booking running until 31/05/2026. We explained the situation to the hotel at the time of departure and contacted both Booking.com and Akatara on 29/05/2026 regarding our concerns and the unused portion of our stay. Booking.com advised us to discuss the matter directly with the hotel. However, Akatara refused to engage meaningfully with our concerns. Despite the property being listed as offering a partial refund, our communications were met with responses that failed to address the issues raised and appeared designed to avoid taking responsibility. While some aspects of our stay were positive, the concerns regarding food hygiene, cleanliness and the hotel's handling of a legitimate customer complaint left us extremely disappointed. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Akatara and would advise prospective guests to consider alternative accommodation.

Hotel excelente, funcionários atenciosos e educados. Piscina ótima, cama excelente, chuveiro muito bom.

Schone kamer, goed bed, goede airco, nette badkamer. Aardig personeel goed ontbijt.
