Village Inn on the Lake

Very outdated. Unsafe lights and outlets.

The first behind is poetry and the ladies across the street is picturesque.

The room is circa 1985. The bugs are crazy. The hot tub was broken. The bed was from 1985 too. The reception person promised I would not be charged because I had already paid through Booking.com. The person the next day promised I would not be charged double… alas, I was charged double. This room should not be this expensive and being charged double just puts salt in the wound. Not a great stay.

The pool area was amazing! The room was comfortable. They do not have handicapped accessible rooms. We were on the first floor and our room had a bar near the toilet to help.

The hot tub was closed, and we were not notified that it would be I was charged twice for our room and no one can tell me why.

Staff was super helpful and friendly

Beautiful views of Lake Michigan, friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The pool and hot tub are very nice. The only downside to staying here are the paper-thin walls. Unfortunately, not all guests are mindful of the other people who are trying to sleep between 10pm and 6 am. This has happened on two of our stays here. The staff was very helpful the first time this happend, the second time was at 3AM and did not want to bother staff.

Beautiful view of Lake Michigan from our 2nd floor room! Very friendly owner gave excellent recommendations for dinner and breakfast.

Location was perfect. Directly across a street from a walking trail along Lake Michigan, with frequent beach access points. Indoor pool and hot tub were well maintained, and the outdoor miniature golf course was an added bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the lake. Front desk folks were very friendly and helpful, giving great suggestions for places to eat and things to see in the 2 Rivers area.
