everything was fabulous. had an amazing sleep the bedroom is so cosy and comfortable. the staff are great and the rooftop pool is amazing. should be a 5 star rating hotel

This hotel is about a 30 second walk up a slope from the beach. When I first got there, I wished it was on the beach but actually it makes a really nice break from 'the strip' with all its bars etc and the view from the hotel is gorgeous. It's a small and friendly place, with a very helpful manager. We stayed there twice (either side of a liveaboard trip) so had two different rooms. There's a lot of woodwork/ wood panelling/wood floors in the rooms and a sizeable double bed. Not a huge amount of space around the bed but adequate for our two massive suitcases! The real charm of this hotel is it's jungle setting. You see lovely trees from the rooms, a great view out over Ambataloaka and - lemurs that swing by every afternoon! And it's small and cute. The food was pretty good too, although it does help if you speak French. We had no problems with the wifi when we were there. We had arranged to pay on card but on the day the connection was down so it was a bit of a faff to get the cash so I would say - be prepared to just pay cash, it will be much easier.

Really nice location close to the center but not inside the loud center ! The view from the breakfast-dining area is amazing! There is also so many trees around so you can get to see lemurs in the afternoon coming to get feed by the tourists The stuff working for the restaurant and also those who work for the reception are really nice and smiley! The manager is super cool and helpful too! Wifi works fine all over the hotel. The hotel is pretty with nice woodwork around and the room is cute with a safe deposit and hot water all day

The hotel is located a bit outside of town, which is good for peace and quite, still only a short walk away from the restaurants and bars. Rooms are very different. Some have a balcony with a view of the ocean in the distance, some only a terrace without any view. My room had AC, which is simply on/off, the temperature control didn't appear to work. The space is limited, only a small table, baggage has to be put on the floor. Shower works fine, but no holder, so showering with one hand. the shower curtain was very dirty. Staff is friendly, but sometimes needs to be reminded. They forgot my laundry, so it took two days. Breakfast is simple, didn't eat at the restaurant. There is a tiny "beach" above the tiny pool, good for relaxing. There is also a terrace at the restaurant with a nice view and cooling wind. Some rooms are stacked, so get noise from above/below. some rooms are right next or below the restaurant. My room was next to the wooden stairs, people going up to the restaurant woke me up. Waling through town there are many prostitutes, but they go away if you say no. clearly there are older men who didn't say no. On the beach, or at the restaurants at the beach there many ladies that want to sell you something, they also go away quickly when saying no.
