Hotel Cavallino D'Oro Bed&Breakfast

A charming hotel, excellent staff and nice atmosphere. The parking solution is very well organised. The breakfast was delicous. The fridge in the common kichenette/salon is a great idea. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Amazing place and wonderful stay. In the heart of Kastelruth Cavallino Di Oro was perfectly located to take advantage of visiting the near surrounding region that included the Seiser Alm and Val Gardena. Staff were welcoming and very friendly and the accommodations top notch. The old historic structure retains its old world charm with rich wood finishes and period art pieces, paintings, and photos. Morning breakfast was classic European and dinner could be had at the nearby sister facility Hotel Kastelruth. This is a place I would easily recommend and would visit again. Our room had a balcony to overlook the town and nearby meadows, forest, and peaks of the Dolomite mountains. Five stars!

Hotel Cavallino is a stunning building (operating since 1326!). The rooms were immaculate and so cozy with comfortable bedding. It's location was perfect to explore the fairy tale streets of Castelrotto and was a great jumping off point to many beautiful hikes. The staff was very friendly, accommodating very responsive. The breakfasts every morning were lovely. I would recommend this hotel 100 percent to friends, family, and fellow travelers.

Nice building with nice bedrooms

Beautiful historical residence. great views with the right room, which we had. check in was challenging, luckily a worker was able to direct us to the checkin center at another location. This was not clear with the reservation- or I missed it... helpful staff in the mornings other wide all communication is via phone to another location. Breakfast was good not excellent- serve was excellent. Easy parking location and very safe. Easy bus connections for local/ regional day trips. Next time I would sty at the sister residence- the Villas. Better breakfast and facilities.

We had a fabulous time in Castelrotto at Hotel Cavallino D'Oro. Although it was inconvenient to check in at their Sister hotel, once settled, the service, food, and honor bar were fantastic! My favorite area of the hotel was the spa especially after hiking the beautiful surrounding area. I want one of the Recovery chairs for my living room! My only suggestion is that if you are traveling during the busy summer season and looking for a quiet room, request one away from the square. If you're a "Foodie", I highly recommend Nomads across the street from the hotel. The chef is a passionate flavor creator!
