Room was very hot. Could hardly open window

Lunch was not too good and when we came in at about 21 00 we had a pizza and white wine and the topping on the pizzas was mean,

The fact that you can get food and drink

Needs a lot of money spending on the rooms, needs new windows, curtains. All is looking very tired and the cleaning is bad. They do the obvious but lots of dust on panelling, pictures and in nooks and crannies. Carpets not hoovered properly, dust on carpets that has been there for weeks. Windows are filthy in the bedrooms and the pub/restaurant. Outside is untidy, nothing looks like it has been swept outside. Tables left untidy with dirty glasses and plates. This place could be amazing but looks uncared for.

Great location, friendly staff, decent restaurant, room was spacious and clean.

The weather was hot at the start of my stay and there was no air conditioning. Plenty of windows to open to get a cooling breeze. Unfortunately that also meant that all the noise from the Beer garden at the front of the property was prevalent that became louder and louder until the drunken party left at 23.45... The weather broke the following day so I was able to use the secondary double glazing and keep the windows shut for the rest of my stay.

The food was superb for a pub hotel
