Room was generally clean if not perfectly so. Very good price for the facilities and features offered. (*off-season) Misc.: + Very good location for a visit to the skijumping hill and other recreational facilities around Willingen + Good choice of breakfast items + Tissues provided in bathroom + Comfortable seating options in room Would stay here again if the WiFi got improved.

- Very poor WiFi connection: Offered decently fast speeds but cut out every few minutes over multiple devices despite full bars of reception. Mode of use also changed between days of stay. (completely open WiFi vs. Signin-Portal via free user/password from reception) After switchting to the latter, it was basically unusable with cut-outs every five or so minutes on both Android and Windows. Happened in multiple locations across the premises not limited to the room. Possibly a temporary issue? - Fairly hard, thick single pillow

I stayed just overnight during my hiking weekend. Whish I could have stay more to enjoy it. Exceptionally good for the price. Very close to the new hanging bridge.

From the outside Frederieke pretends to be a high level "Wellness" hotel. We did not try the hotel, but had dinner. This did by no means our expectations based on the presentation from the outside. The dinner was certainly ok, the "Gutburgerliche Kuche". The service was ok. But nothing really outstanding.

Located outside town center, so no problem to park your car (for free), the hotel is positioned in a cosy location next to the forest and a major traffic joint of multiple hiking routes. These routes are very well indicated on every second tree you walk by… The Hotel is mid-20th century, very original and authentic. Waitresses serve delicious food in original clothing (dirndls) in a very rustique restaurant. Treatment is very personal, they remember your drink orders the next day. Food is served during the week based on three menus you can choose from the day before. Every day there is a huge vegetable buffet and Sunday a large warm buffet. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, especially in the main building I recommend. For a little more you get an almost suite. The hotel is not suited for disabled and elderly people due to multiple stairs. There is no street traffic so no noise apart from birds and mating deer. In the secondary building there is a nice indoor pool with a complimentary sauna for max. 4 persons. Just ask the reception to switch it on 30 minutes in advance. The hotel offers FREE internet (wrongly mentioned as paid for in most brochures) but the range is limited to the lobby. But being a telecom expert I always carry my TP-link CPE210 client-router that managed to cover the whole building from my room. Everybody was wondering why we were the only people asking for the free 24 hour wifi vouchers NOT sitting in the lobby. Using such a client router you can run multiple devices on a single voucher. If the hotel owner would install two such units he could have coverage both in main and secondary building on all floors. Special award for the kitchen. The chef is doing a great job with very generous amounts of food and a very varying menu. I would highly recommend this hotel to people looking for a short break in a sleeping part of Germany, with a Lidl supermarket within 3 km walking distance over a nice trail. Also recommend visiting the free concrete tower overlooking the area from Ettelsberg.

We stayed here with 2 other couples. The hotel is situated near the forest and is very quiet. Breakfast and diner were good. the room was little bit outdated, clean though. we stayed for 4 nights. Cleaming came every day. Service was OK. Nice people in the hotel and restaurant staff.
