The emptiness of the building in the evenings

This is our third stay at Stanbrook Abbey (we have also stopped here for a meal/drinks only on other occasions). There is nothing we can fault about this hotel. The hotel is stunning - both inside and out. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the meals are always excellent. There is plenty of free parking on site, and the grounds are lovely to walk around or sit in.

There is nothing we do not like about this hotel.

Excellent breakfast with superb service.

The fixtures and fittings around the breakfast room need a good clean. A lot of dust on the globe lighting and the windows need cleaning.

Staff were excellent throughout particularly the waitress who served us our meals at breakfast. As restaurant was closed they kindly provided room service as we had dining table in Master suite

Few personal touches in Master suite - hand made biscuits or chocs not a wrapped Walkers finger. Turndown as all blinds hard to close

Such a wonderful scenery, tha staffs was welcoming, accommodating and friendly.

The hotel itself was fabulous. The room was lovely and clean and the grounds of the hotel were amazing. Also the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room was so small, so hot I couldn’t sleep, yet in the photos the room had air con, but that was misleading, was that bookings.com fault 🤔 told the staff on checkout, reply oh sorry about that!! 😡
