Hotel Edelweiss

We like the location. From the railway station it is a walk of 5 - 10 minutes. The cross country ski trail is right at the hotel. As there was not much snow we preferred to do some nice hikes. The breakfast was very good (buffet). If somebody likes dinner it can be served as well. There are 3 choices or it is a buffet dinner. Our room was quiet and it offered a nice view. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was nice. The staff was excellent and friendly.

Drinks were a little pricey and the pork served at dinner was sometimes a little tough.

Skibus very close to accomodation.

First time ever in 20 years skiing in Austria that I saw that breakfast buffet is not refilled (and they say they’re 4 stars hotel), if you come just 5-10 min late, half of the food is already gone, when I asked to get more salami, got rude and abrupt reaction from one older women working there, (guessing she’s owner’s wife maybe) that there is no refill, manage with what is left! So breakfast is pretty much like animal hunt for food, come first and grab what you can! Spa only from 3 till 6 pm, very inconvenient if you ski till 4 pm and already have dinner at 6.30 pm.

The room was spacious. We had a little table, a chair and 2 sofas. There was also a balcony. The bathromm was very good as well. Counter space for toilet bag. The shower worked great. Breakfast and dinner were included and they were very good. The dinner menu offered 3 options and even the choice of reglar or small portions. The location is very good. About 600 m from the train station and 20 m from the bus stop. Cross country ski trails start very close to the hotel (about 50m).

WIFI was provided and it was included in the rate but it did not work fast. So we could use it only for slower applications. We did not find an English channel on the TV.
