Hotel Real Castillo

The bedroom was huge, very traditional, we were lucky we were at the rear of the building with reasonable views. We had a very helpful staff member for our check-in.

The slip road off the main road to the hotel is awful, deeply potholed. When you arrive, you have to go into the bar to book in. Although there is a large restaurant, all food was served in the bar, and we had an unpleasant experience as they tried to overcharge us for the drinks we had had and they were adamant that we hadn’t paid for the drinks when we arrived, as I had paid cash and they hadn’t recorded it. Food was quite good, no breakfast included.

Lo que más nos gustó fue el tamaño y las instalaciones de la habitación que teníamos reservada, incluso con bañera de hidromasaje.

Una vez que teníamos reservada en Booking una habitación por dos noches, quisimos añadir otra noche más pero no aparecía posibilidad en dicha plataforma por lo que llamamos por teléfono y nos aseguraron que quedaba reservada una noche más; cuál fue nuestra sorpresa que al llegar al hotel la reserva hecha de las dos primeras noches si que estaba confirmada, pero la tercera no, por lo que nos tuvimos que buscar un segundo hotel para ello. A pesar de esto es probable que repitamos, pero siempre previa reserva a través de Booking.

Personeel vriendelijk. Ruime kamer. Gelegen naast autostrade. Privé parking aan hotel, evenwel niet afgesloten.

Badkamer met 'jacuzzi bad'. Evenwel niet te gebruiken gezien knop voor vullen bad niet werkte. Zat geblokkeerd door kalkaanslag. Geen warm water (na 1,5 uur eindelijk in orde gebracht). Geen echt ontbijt, men kon enkel kiezen uit de menukaart van het restaurant. Diner in restaurant was goed doch spijtig dat de gerechten koud waren.

Parfait pour s'arreter sans s'éloigner de la route. Facile à trouver , et avec le restaurant a coté, pas besoin de se déplacer pour passer une journée.

La habitación amplia con cama muy grande y la decoración de época. Es un lugar muy tranquilo para descansar a mitad de viaje y valoramos muy positivamente el tener aparcamiento y restaurante. Además, el restaurante tenía buenos platos a buen precio.

Nada, para lo que queríamos era perfecto. En todo caso, me hubiera gustado una butaca o sillón cómoda para leer

The room is enormous compared to other hotels that charge a similar amount of money. We arrived in time for lunch and the menu del dia was very good. Breakfast - served in the bar - is very Spanish which we like but may not be what a typical tourist is hoping for.

We stayed at this hotel a year ago so we knew what to expect. The bath was difficult to use as a shower but possible. We would have preferred a proper shower but the rooms do not have this facility. For those who might enjoy it, the bath was a spa bath with jets and, probably, bubbles.
