Hotel Post mit Klimaanlage

The booking was made on route early evening whilst driving. A confirmation was received via email. On arrival at the hotel at only 21:30 reception was closed. No response was received after attempts to message the property at this time. Emails were evident in my inbox but in German despite the reservation being made from an English speaking booking.com account with an English email address. We are talking English here not Swahili. The following day a German speaker was able to advise us that the message said that despite being a hotel the reception closed at 20:00. Even if this were the case in many other similar circumstances the accommodation has made arrangements for its customers with confirmed bookings to be given access to the rooms they have paid for. I see this as ineptitude verging on contempt for the customer who was left stranded.
