Hotel Nagglerhof am Weissensee

Stunning lake and valley. Amazing location of the hotel, looking along the lake and valley. Modern , stylish and functional restaurant with a terasse, all with lovely views. Safe cy cle and ski lock up room . Very good single track mountain biking in the woods above the hotel, descending from the Naggl Alm. Forest tracks all open for walking and cycling ( not very common in Austria, where most forests are private and cycling is forbidden). Wellness centre is spacious and airy , with lovely views across the lake and valley. 5m diameter tiled and pleasantly designed hot tub , with modern sauna and steam room and showers, alongside reclining beds " with a stunning view ".. Helpful and flexible staff, who appear to enjoy their work. Good food with local styles. Naggl is not busy or cluttered unlike some nearby lakes and towns. Weissensee is a gem, one of the prettiest , simple and natural valleys that I have ever seen. Tasteful boats zigzag along the lake several times each day, with drinks and as a means of transport, since the North shore has woodland descending to the water's edge. Lovely cycling to be enjoyed, including the route from the Drau River, through Zlan and Ziebl.
